Fay Jacobs to join Queer Queens of Qomedy in Milton June 4

May 12, 2021

The Queer Queens of Qomedy are thrilled to be coming to the historic Milton Theatre and to be a part of Delaware Pride.

Three comics – headliner Michelle Balin, Queer Queen Producer Poppy Champlin, and storyteller and comic Fay Jacobs – are on the bill for shows at 5:30 and 8 p.m., Friday, June 4.

Opening the show is writer/performer Fay Jacobs, who has been touring with her show Aging Gracelessly: 50 Shades of Fay. With four books under her belt, Jacobs is creating the movement of sit-down comedy. Critics call her the Last Comic Sitting and Rehoboth’s Mrs. Maisel.

Headlining the show is the infamous Michele Balan, a dyed-in-the-wool New Yorker. She was a finalist on Last Comic Standing, and is a regular on Olivia Cruises and many other cruise ships. Her comedy comprises observational humor, one-liners and life experiences. Think Henny Youngman meets Joan Rivers. Balan is a ball of comic genius.

Queenie No. 3, Poppy Champlin, the ringleader and host of the show, is constantly changing her routines, but always adds a tune to keep folks laughing and tapping their toes. A bonus guest is Ann Singleton, a fledgling comic who took Poppy’s online class and is now hitting the main stage.

Tickets are $25 at Miltontheatre.com.
