A fire heavily damaged a Millsboro home Dec. 14.
The fire was reported at 5:36 a.m. at a home in Spencer Court, drawing a response from firefighters from Indian River Volunteer Fire Co., Millsboro, Georgetown and Dagsboro.
Nicola Pizza shared on its Facebook page that an employee who has worked in the kitchen for more than 25 years lost everything in the fire. The post said everyone in the home was able to escape safely.
The restaurant said it will collect money and gift cards for the family, and will schedule a dine-and-donate in the near future. “Thank you for the prayers and amazing response to the call. Our community is amazing!” the post read.
