The First Baptist Church on Kings Highway in Lewes hosted its seventh annual High Power Soccer Camp Aug. 5-9, where more than 60 players learned the basics of the world’s most popular sport.
Future soccer stars ages 5 to 11, beginners to advanced, learned dribbling, ball control, passing, shooting and defense from an enthusiastic staff. The camp was free and open to the community. Participants were able to purchase jerseys and other camp items if they wished.
“The camp meets the physical and spiritual needs of the youth,” said youth pastor Jon Reddick.
The camp evening was broken down with stretching, drills, Bible study and soccer matches.
