First State Chevrolet donates to breast cancer coalition

February 4, 2019

First State Chevrolet recently donated $1,700 to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coaliton. The funds were proceeds from First State’s third annual trunk or treat fundraiser event held Oct. 27. The event has benefitted DBCC each year.

The funds will go toward providing financial assistance, community outreach and education, prosthetics and support for those newly diagnosed with or actively fighting breast cancer.

“I have been a cancer patient and good friend of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition for four years now. I am very grateful for all the financial assistance this program has funded for me and my children. It has paid bills, and supplied food for me and my children to make it going through this hard time. I have no idea what I would do if it wasn't for DBCC. I don't know where I would be,” said Dominique B.

Headquartered in Wilmington with offices in Kent and Sussex counties, the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition offers programs that reach diverse communities to deliver messages addressing unique concerns about breast cancer and early detection. For more information, go to www.debreastcancer.org.
