First State Health and Wellness opens in Lewes

Sixth location offers drug-free, surgery-free wellness care
June 15, 2020

As lead chiropractor, Dr. Zach Tomko welcomes patients at a new First State Health & Wellness location in Lewes.

This integrative practice blends chiropractic care, acupuncture, nutrition and rehabilitation exercise for excellent outcomes in relieving pain and sustaining optimal health and well-being – without drugs or surgery. Lewes Chiropractic joins the existing Rehoboth Beach office in providing care to residents and visitors of all ages and health conditions.

Tomko, like many, was originally very skeptical of chiropractic and its treatment method. However, after a bad car accident at age 24 left him unable to walk and desperate for a solution, he turned to chiropractic. His first chiropractor not only facilitated recovery from his back pain, but also gave him the tools and knowledge to help eliminate the possibility of reoccurrence. "Using my personal insights, I hope to show others how truly amazing chiropractic care is. It has become my goal to help my patients get out of pain and move better,” he said.

Tomko graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College as valedictorian. He has taken extensive courses from the Motion Palpation Institute and on Spinal Decompression, Mckenzie Protocol, Flexion Distraction Technique, Activator Method, and the Specific Functional Movement Assessment.

Dr. Audrey Farrell of the Rehoboth location will also be available on a limited basis for chiropractic and acupuncture services in Lewes.

Under the leadership of founders Drs. Stacy and Lydia Cohen, First State Health & Wellness has been providing award-winning integrative healthcare and education since 1984. Services among six offices across Delaware include chiropractic, acupuncture/cupping, whole-body cryotherapy, massage, nutrition, spinal decompression and rehabilitation.

The Lewes office is at 12100 Black Swan Drive, across from Cape Henlopen High School at the corner of Kings Highway and Gills Neck Road.
