Food and beverage vendors to spotlight Taste of Delaware at Capitol Dec. 5

The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, along with honorary host Sen. Chris Coons, announce the 8th Annual Taste of Delaware will take place from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, in the Kennedy Caucus Room of the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C. More than 20 Delaware hospitality businesses will share some of the best that Delaware has to offer in food and drink.

“This event is a celebration of the talented and passionate restaurateurs, chefs, bakers, distillers and brewers who make Delaware truly unique,” said Coons. “As the honorary host for the 8th Annual Taste of Delaware, I am pleased to be working with the state chamber again to showcase the state of Delaware on Capitol Hill.”

Food, drinks and treats will be available from Brick Works, Capriotti’s, Chic Treats, De La Coeur, Delaware Technical Community College, Delcastle Technical High School, Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Double Spiral Chocolate, Grotto Pizza, Home Grown Café, Johnnies Dog House, Locale BBQ Post/Stitch House, Maiale Deli and Salumeria, Mispillion River Brewing, Painted Stave Distilling, Paul’s Kitchen & Cullen-ary Company, Peco's Liquor, Po' Boys Creole & Fresh Catch Restaurant, Sea Watch International, SoDel Concepts, the Starboard, UDairy Creamery, University & Whist Club, Waggies by Maggie and Friends, and WiLDWiCH.

Taste of Delaware made its first appearance in 2010, featuring Grotto Pizza, Capriotti's and Dogfish Head in a small conference room. The event has grown into a highly anticipated event among government officials, restaurateurs and food fans alike, attracting 600 guests.
