Food Bank of Delaware celebrates 40th anniversary
Food Bank of Delaware celebrated its 40th anniversary March 26 with drive-thru birthday parties at its Milford and Newark locations.
Those driving past were able to drop off a donation and receive a free cookie as part of the event. Despite not having an in-person celebration, volunteers at the Milford location at least brought the trappings of a birthday party with balloons and snacks.
Ryan Mavity covers Milton and the court system. He is married to Rachel Swick Mavity and has two kids, Alex and Jane. Ryan started with the Cape Gazette all the way back in February 2007, previously covering the City of Rehoboth Beach. A native of Easton, Md. and graduate of Towson University, Ryan enjoys watching the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Capitals and Baltimore Orioles in his spare time.
