Fork + Flask to host cocktail party with Dogfish spirits Jan. 27

Fork + Flask in Rehoboth Beach will host a winter cocktail party in collaboration with Dogfish Head Distilling from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27.

Fork + Flask bar manager and craft cocktail enthusiast Ginger Breneman’s take on a Gin Fizz, which will be available at the party, is outlined below.

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Dogfish Head Compelling Gin
1.5 oz Fork + Flask Fall Syrup (see below) 
1/2 lemon, squeezed
1 egg white
Splash of club soda

Fall Syrup
Bring 1 quart of water and 1 quart of sugar to a boil. Reduce heat and add one container (16 oz.) of frozen pear puree, four cinnamon sticks, and 2 quarts of mission figs cut in half. Let simmer for 10 minutes. Strain. Let cool to room temperature, then store in refrigerator.

Method
Add all ingredients to shaker, fill with ice and shake. Strain into coupe glass. Top with club soda.
