Former Dewey mayor supports Stevens

September 17, 2020

As a former mayor of Dewey Beach, I continue to care about the town.  I bought my first Dewey property in 1983, so I’ve seen a lot. I have watched the town grow and witnessed the many battles.  I believe the town needs a change at this time and I strongly support candidate William “Bill” Stevens.

Bill is presently chairman of the budget and finance committee and had served on the town’s investment and audit committees.  He has a BBA degree in finance and an MBA in accounting, and presently from his full-time residence in Dewey consults to various companies.  His wife Janine serves on the marketing committee and was named to the search committee for the new town manager.  They are here 24/7 and both care about the town.  At a time when Dewey Beach faces a financial adjustment due to restrictions from COVID-19, Bill is the perfect guy to address that situation without harming the property owners, businesses, employees or visitors.  He supports a vibrant and balanced town, and we need him on council.
