Frances Ruth Williams, loving mother, grandmother

Frances (Fran) Ruth Williams, 78, of Dagsboro, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024.

Fran was born June 1, 1946, in Millsboro, to parents Horace and Myrtle (Baker) McCabe.

She graduated from Millsboro High School in 1965 and worked a variety of jobs over the years, including at the Montgomery Ward catalog store, National Cash Register, and in the cafeterias at several Sussex County schools. She loved watching her favorite soap operas, puzzles, art, and music.

In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. Williams; and siblings, Lavinia, Merrill, Gerald and Marie.

Fran is survived by two sons, Brad L. Williams and Timothy S. Williams; a sister-in-law, Linda Tingle (Williams), grandchildren, Caitlin B. Williams, Shawn X. R. Williams and Liam X. R. Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
