Fred Hughes Trio to perform with Peggy Raley-Ward at Milton Theatre Dec. 22

The Fred Hughes Trio will join Peggy Raley-Ward for a performance at 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 22, at Milton Theatre.

Originating in the jazz clubs of Washington, D.C., the Fred Hughes Trio has been performing, recording and presenting clinics and workshops since 1989. With the addition of Jazz vocalist and educator Raley-Ward, the night will be full of beautiful jazz holiday music.

The Fred Hughes Trio's performing credentials include the Rehoboth, Clifford Brown and Mid-Atlantic jazz festivals, the 1996 Summer Olympics and tours to the Republic of Korea in 2001 and 2002. The current trio includes Amy Shook on bass and Frank Russo on drums.

Aside from being a jazz vocalist and educator, Raley-Ward is founder and co-owner of Nassau Valley Vineyards, Delaware's first farm winery. She is a lecturer, wine educator and consultant.
