Fred Thomas students selected for county and state choral groups
Several talented student vocalists from Frederick D. Thomas Middle School have been recognized for their exceptional musical achievement, with three selected to All-County Choir and nine earning a place in the All-State Chorus.
Students chosen for these ensembles undergo a highly competitive audition process that evaluates tone quality, intonation, pitch accuracy, rhythm and tempo, diction and phrasing, and range. Selection reflects not only natural talent but also dedication, discipline and countless hours of practice.
Fred Thomas Middle School students selected for All-County Choir are Olivia Cashdollar, Madori Torres and Lincoln Fyock. Students chosen for All-State Chorus are Zoe May, Na’Jee Long, Kate Ingerski, Elena Capiro, Kate Fries, Nate Nicol, Luke Depanfilis, Krish Vadlamani and Lincoln Fyock.
“I’m incredibly proud of these students for reaching this level of excellence,” said Juleeann Schlitter, Fred Thomas choir teacher. “Their hard work and passion for music shine through in every rehearsal, and this recognition is well deserved.”
The selected county choir students participated in rehearsals that culminated in a performance with other top musicians from across the county at Woodbridge High School in early November.
The All-State Chorus performance will take place Saturday, March 7, at Dover High School.
