Free Svaroopa yoga programs and workshop set March 8-9

Local Svaroopa yoga teachers Kelly (Kushala) Sharp from Rehoboth Beach Yoga and  Chelsea (Rajni) King from Turning Point Yoga & Meditation in Milton will host guest teacher Rukmini (Maria) Abbruzzi from Svaroopa Vidya Ashram Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9.

A free yoga pain clinic will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, March 8, at Rehoboth Beach Yoga, 20245 Bay Vista Road, Unit 101. A free introduction to meditation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, March 9, at Turning Point Yoga and Meditation in the Olive Branch, 14904 Coastal Highway, Milton. Attendees will discover an easy pathway to deep meditation in just one hour. Participants will learn about the goal and purpose of meditation as well as the how-to basics. An additional half-day program will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m., March 9, at Rehoboth Beach Yoga. There will be three hours of yoga poses plus an hour of chanting and meditation. Body, mind, heart and deeper – the bliss of consciousness is guaranteed. Anyone can attend; it’s all user-friendly while being deeply effective and profoundly nourishing. Meditation instruction is included, along with personal attention in poses for maximum benefits. Discounted cost is $101, standard rate. Contact Sharp or King for info on registration.

All three programs are taught by Abbruzzi. In addition to teaching yoga, she serves as teaching assistant to Swami Nirmalananada Saraswati. She brings her heart to everything she does, offering these ancient and profound teachings in a way that is easily understood, making it easy for everyone to apply these yogic and meditative tools and to experience one’s own divine essence. Abbruzzi is a Certified Svaroopa Yoga Teacher, Advanced Svaroopa Yoga Therapist, meditation teacher and meditation group leader with 16 years of teaching experience.
