French perfume by House of Lubin now at Elegant Slumming in Rehoboth

March 9, 2020

Elegant Slumming Fine Jewelry in Rehoboth Beach has expanded its offerings of luxury items to include a fragrance collection by French perfumery House of Lubin.

One of France's last remaining independent fashion houses, House of Lubin manufactures limited quantities of perfume intended for sophisticated enthusiasts. Lubin is a niche design house attracting adventurous wearers who want to be surprised, to experience something different from what they have smelled before.

The House of Lubin was established in Paris in 1798 by Pierre-Francois Lubin following the French Revolution. Lubin provided perfumed ribbons, ball masks, and rice powder to the French populace. His most famous creation was Eau de Lubin, which won favor with the Imperial Court of France. His reputation then expanded to the crowned heads of Europe and Russia.

House of Lubin was among the first French companies to promote its expertise to international clients on every continent. Its greatest success was in the United States where Lubin's expansion began in the 1830s. The mid-1800s until the Great Depression was Lubin's golden era in America.

All Lubin perfumes are produced from precious raw materials sourced from exotic locations around the world, created exclusively in France for 222 years. Some Lubin fragrances are historic formulas, and these perfumes are still relevant and enjoyed to this day.

Lubin's best-selling historic perfume is Gin Fizz, created in 1955 to honor Grace Kelly. Lubin's modern fragrances are designed for a contemporary, edgy clientele. Lubin uses independent perfumers to formulate its fragrance creations, giving them more freedom to follow their own interpretations. Akkad and Galaad are new perfumes inspired by the curiosity for travel to mysterious places.

Elegant Slumming Fine Jewelry invites everyone to experience in person the unique character of House of Lubin ladies’ and men’s fragrances.

The store is located at 33 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach. For more information, call 302-227-5551.
