The Gazette visits the University of Oregon

Jennie Keith and Roy Fitzgerald of Lewes took the Cape Gazette on the road—posing with the Mighty Duck mascot at the University of Oregon in Eugene. The couple was in town visiting their granddaughter, Celia Fitzgerald, an English major in the Honors College at U of O. Their stop in Eugene was part of a cross-country train adventure that began in Philadelphia and included visits to Bainbridge Island, Washington, where Jennie’s sister Harriet Alexander resides, and to San Francisco. Their return journey featured a ride aboard the spectacular California Zephyr, a legendary train that crosses the Rocky Mountains on its scenic two-day trip to Chicago.
