Grace R. Sundstrom, antiques dealer
Grace R. Sundstrom, 93, of Lewes, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015. She was born Feb. 23, 1922, in Forest Hills, N.Y., daughter of the late Nelson W. and Ruth (Losch) Runnion.
Grace and her husband, Ragnar N. Sundstrom, raised their family in Chevy Chase, Md., where they also enjoyed collecting antiques and Japanese art. She worked as a research librarian with ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) until retiring with Ragnar to Lewes in 1984.
Grace was a lifelong visitor to Lewes, first as a young child, and later vacationing there with her family for many summers. She and her son, Bill, were active antique dealers in Lewes for many years. Grace enjoyed gardening and taking classes at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in Lewes.
In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Ragnar; and her son, William "Bill" Sundstrom. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Marie Junkins (James) of Petersburg, W.Va.; a son, Ragnar N. "Buz" Sundstrom Jr. (Joan) of Burtonsville, Md.; three grandchildren, Cathy Junkins, Mark Sundstrom (Anna) and Eric Sundstrom; and one great-granddaughter, Mila Sundstrom.
All services will be private.
