Grant funds youngster’s community theater camp experience

Southern Delaware School of the Arts student Sklyar Baldasano recently attended the Possum Point Players’ summer theater camp in Georgetown.

Sklyar was awarded a grant from Paul Kares to cover tuition for the camp, where she explored acting, writing, song and dance. The Delaware nonprofit supports young culinary and performing artists.

The camp runs for two weeks, and this year’s themes were Off to Neverland and Campfire Stories.
