Great food, libations and fun were the order of the evening as Grass Roots Rescue held its sixth annual Heels & Hooch Gala at Bally’s Dover Casino Resort Oct. 19.
Nearly 175 attendees honored GRR’s volunteers and enjoyed an evening raising funds for the foster based canine rescue.
Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Jessica Weir. The Unsung Hero was presented to Sherrie Andrews. The Hooch’s Heart Award was presented to the husband and wife team of Andrew and Amanda Lyon.
“We are so appreciative of the community’s support,” said GRR founder Karli Crenshaw. “Without it we would not be able to make such a difference in the lives of so many incredibly deserving dogs. Thank you for helping us help the ones that need us the most.”
