Grotto brings back Bake at Home Pizza

Grotto Pizza, a Rehoboth Beach restaurant group, is again offering Bake at Home Pizza.

For the same price as a 12-inch cheese pizza, customers can stock their fridge and freezer to enjoy Grotto Pizza’s award-winning swirl-topped pies whenever they wish.

A thawed pizza takes up to 10 minutes to cook in a 425-degree oven, and a frozen pizza heats up in just 10 to 12 minutes, adding toppings as desired.

“Our customers are huge fans of our Bake at Home Pizza, but we hit pause to perfect the production process,” said Jeff Gosnear, Grotto Pizza vice president. “We want to offer them the best possible quality and taste.”

The announcement of the pizza’s return on social media garnered an enthusiastic response, he said.

Currently, the Bake at Home Pizza is only sold in Delaware and Maryland restaurants.

“There’s a lot of demand, so we hope to explore shipping in the future once we work through the logistics,” Gosnear said.

Founded in 1960, Grotto Pizza has 23 locations in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
