GWOR to host comedy and entertainment events June 27-28
Gay Women of Rehoboth will host an evening of music and comedy starting at 7 p.m., Friday, June 27, at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.
Featured performers are country/pop singer Kristen Merlin and comedian Kristin Key.
“We were lucky to get these two amazing performers and on the same night,” said Lisa Soens, GWOR director. “GWOR is becoming known for our quality entertainment to gay women living in or visiting Rehoboth. And we give back to the community.” A percentage of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the Safeguard Housing Committee for Homeless LGBTQ+ Youth and PFLAG Wilmington.
Entertainment featuring poker, music and comedy will kick off with a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament at 9 a.m., Saturday June 28, at the convention center. Play will continue until three winners remain.
Performances by Nashville musician Steff Mahan and comedian Erin Foley will begin at 7:30 p.m., at the convention center.
