Heidi Lowe Gallery jewelry-making classes continue Feb. 8
Heidi Lowe Gallery offers classes for people to make their own silver jewelry pieces. Offerings include stacker rings, mantra bracelet and rings of intention. Students will learn various metalworking techniques to make a wearable piece of personalized silver jewelry from start to finish in one session of about two-and-a-half to three hours.
During the rings of intention class, each student will look inward to come up with a word of intention that embodies what they want to focus on in the new year. The word will be incorporated into a ring with a customized pattern. The mantra cuff bracelet class is similar in that the piece is stamped with personal meaning to serve as a wearable reminder. In the stacker rings class, students using various silver wires will make three different rings that can be worn separately or as a stack.
Beginners are welcome, and materials are included in the class price. Everyone will leave class with a finished, handmade piece of jewelry.
Classes take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Thursdays. Students may choose individual sessions on the following dates: Feb. 8, stacker rings; Feb. 15, mantra cuff bracelet; Feb. 22, rings of intention; and Feb. 29, stacker rings.
