The Historic Lewes Farmers Market opened Saturday, May 4, at George H.P. Smith Park with 34 vendors selling seasonal vegetables, garden plants, flowers, eggs, dairy, grass-fed meat, and much more. Heirloom Executive Chef Matt Kern sourced seasonal, local ingredients for a demo.
Market demos are a huge hit. Heirloom Executive Chef Matt Kern, a semifinalist this year for the James Beard Foundation Award, created a radish salad.
Organic flowers are offered by Masterpiece Flowers.
Fox Briar Farm radishes are in season.
Hattie’s Garden plants are lush, green and ready to go in the ground.
