Hoey Stevenson will be a great asset in Senate

October 8, 2024

I was personally disappointed when Kim Hoey Stevenson left the Sussex County Planning & Zoning Commission after six years of service. She is a focused and earnest worker who dug in to get an understanding of the zoning code and ordinances. She has a proven record of getting results, including preserving mature forests and increasing buffer zones around the county to protect the habitat for wildlife.

After 10 years as a resident of Lewes, I have seen the unbelievable residential growth. The beautiful farms that drew me to this area are all being converted to more and more residential developments. Kim is dedicated to smart growth in Sussex County, and I trust her judgement for our future. She will continue to work toward bipartisan action that will benefit all people in our county and state. She will be a great asset in our state Senate.
