Hotel Carlton building on Rehoboth Avenue

This picture postcard from the 1920s shows the familiar red brick structure in the ocean block of Rehoboth Avenue that has been a hotel, rooming house, home to T-shirt shops and other retail operations for nearly a century. 

The building is owned by the Trahos family, which also owns several other downtown Rehoboth Beach properties.  Most recently, members of the Trahos family purchased the nearby Nicola Pizza properties fronting on Rehoboth Avenue and First Street.
