How to Jump Start Your Life free workshop set Oct. 3 in Lewes

Dr. Barbara Barski-Carrow and Barbara Spears will present a free workshop, Bouncing Back: From Stress to Resilience from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church parish hall in Lewes.

This one-day, interactive workshop is open to all those who need to bounce back after a stressful event. Attendees will learn ways to own their personal story, meet challenges, and jump-start their life.

A continental breakfast will be served. Reservations are limited to the first 50 participants. To register, email drbcarrow@gmail.com.

Barski-Carrow is a seasoned human resource professional, counselor and coach. As principal of Carrow Associates, she brings a span of 30 years'  experience in the federal government including the private sector, in the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia community. She is a leader in organizational behavior and management, and a graduate of Georgetown University. She holds a Ph.D from Virginia Tech and is the author of the book "When Trauma Survivors Return To Work."

Spears, a yoga professional and instructor at Involution Yoga, holds her E-RYT 500 certification through Yoga Alliance. She has studied yoga since 1995 and has been teaching yoga classes and workshops over 12 years. Healing techniques from Classical Yoga include focusing the mind, breath awareness, building physical strength, reducing stress and boosting feelings of well-being.

She also teaches meditation workshops, partner yoga workshops, classes for patients with cancer and Parkinson’s disease, and leads yoga teacher trainings. Encouraging practicing yoga from within allows participants to enjoy a journey of self-discovery that can provide a life-changing experience and deep personal transformation.
