An idealized photograph of pre-1950s Rehoboth Beach

April 18, 2018

One date associated with information included with this postcard in the Caley collection indicates 1947. But it may be before that. The view is from the balcony of the former Belhaven Hotel which stood on the south side of Rehoboth Avenue at its intersection with the Boardwalk. Most notable is the lack of the iconic Dolle's sign atop the building opposite the Belhaven, on the north side of Rehoboth Avenue.
