Insider Tips for Disney travels set Dec. 3 in Bethany

Glass Slipper Concierge's Duane Whitman to present
November 30, 2016

"What do floating islands, banshees and one of the largest flower and garden festivals in the world have in common?" asks Disney-certified Glass Slipper Concierge professional travel advisor Duane Whitman.

He'll answer this question and many others Saturday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Ellen Rice Gallery, when he presents "Insider Tips for Disney travels in 2017 and 2018" as part of the first day of Bethany Beach's 2nd annual Winter Wonderland festivities, which culminate in a tree-lighting and caroling event at 5 p.m.

"It's pretty much too late to book a Disney vacation for the 2016 holidays unless you want to pay premium prices, but it's not too late – or too early – to carefully plan and book for the holidays in 2017," said Whitman.

"There are so many exciting things on the horizon for vacationers at Walt Disney World and on the ships of the Disney Cruise Line in 2017 and 2018 that I felt people could benefit from guidance – especially before gifting a vacation this Christmas. Timing with what's coming up will mean everything."

Whitman will show Disney videos and answer guest questions. He'll provide complimentary travel consultations and later detailed custom itineraries for those booking vacations with him. Free Disney literature will be available, and hot apple cider and light refreshments will be served prior to the town's tree-lighting festivities.

Millsboro native Whitman is a graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge, a certified Orlando Travel Expert and has made it to the top-10 list of agents with Glass Slipper Concierge, one of a select group of travel agencies throughout the United States with the designation of Authorized Disney Vacation Planner and one of only a handful of agencies in the United States to receive Disney's highest designation: Platinum Level Authorized Disney Vacation Planner Earmarked Agency.

He has been planning itineraries for people traveling to Walt Disney World for several decades and joined Glass Slipper Concierge in 2012, chosen for his extensive knowledge of Disney and ability to work with people to help them plan tailor-made vacation plans for groups of all sizes, from couples to small families and multi-generation groups.

Whitman is familiar to many in his role managing The Ellen Rice Gallery for almost 18 years, first in Ocean View and now in Bethany Beach. His presentations will be at the gallery, at 98 Garfield Parkway, Suite 109, a half block from the ocean in the Blue Surf building on the south side of the Bethany Circle.

For more information, contact Whitman at 302-448-1534 or stop in the gallery between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The gallery is open every day. Everyone is welcome to attend Saturday's presentations or call Whitman for private travel consultation. Read more about him at www.glassslipperconcierge.com/about-us/specialist/duane-whitman.
