Intro to Svaroopa Yoga teacher training half-day program set Nov. 27

November 22, 2021

Rehoboth Beach Yoga will offer a free Intro to Svaroopa Yoga Teacher Training from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 27.

Participants will explore the elements of training as a teacher, a profession where practitioners do what they love by empowering others to expand their horizons.

Svaroopa Yoga teacher trainees learn how to weave together precision and compassion. They learn to shine light through body and mind, inviting the inner opening of the heart in themselves and their students. Svaroopa Yoga teachers can make a difference in the world, one tailbone at a time.

A half-day program will be offered from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., Nov. 27 including three hours of yoga poses plus an hour of chanting and meditation. Accessing the body, mind, heart and deeper guarantees the bliss of consciousness. Anyone can attend; it’s all user-friendly while being deeply effective and profoundly nourishing. Meditation instruction is included, along with personal attention in individual poses for maximum benefits.

The cost of the afternoon program is $101.

Both programs are taught by Swami Shrutananda Saraswati, CSYT, RYT 500, E-RYT 500 (the yogi formerly known as Vidyadevi). Having studied and taught directly with Swami Nirmalananda Saraswati for 19 years, Swami Shrutananda has taught students on several continents and at multiple levels of experience. Her previous work as a research scientist enlivens her understanding of the science of yoga. She communicates with ease, skilled in merging depth, clarity, lightness and humor.
