Italian-American Heritage Club supports Cape Henlopen Food Basket

The Italian-American Heritage Club of Sussex County recently presented the Cape Henlopen Food Basket with a $500 donation, along with food item donations from club members.

Mark Sievers, food basket vice president, was the guest speaker at a recent monthly dinner meeting for the Italian-American Heritage Club. He explained the food basket’s sole purpose is to provide food to Delaware individuals and families in need.  An all-volunteer organization consisting of 85 members, the Cape Henlopen Food Basket has been in operation since October 2002. 

Club members have a history of learning about their culture and assisting those in the area who are in need.
