James ‘Jimmy’ Wallace Reid Jr., electrician

James "Jimmy" Wallace Reid Jr., 47, of Milton passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021.  He was born Dec. 30, 1973, in Dover, son of  James W. Sr. and Connie Lee (Hegman) Reid.

The Reid family moved to Sussex County in 1977 where Jimmy attended Cape Henlopen schools and graduated from Cape Henlopen High School in 1991. He worked as an electrician with his father after graduation and then became a State of Delaware licensed electrician, forming his own business, Reid's Electrical Services LLC.

Jimmy loved being on the water and was a lifelong avid fisherman, owning several boats over the years. He also loved dirt bikes, four wheelers, and his ‘69 Chevy convertible.

Jimmy was a gentle person with no malice toward anyone and a friend to everyone. He loved his family dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jimmy is survived by his parents, James W. Sr. and Connie L. Reid of Milton; his daughters: Madison G. Reid of Milton and Jiyanna L. Holt of Lewes; his son, Kayden J. Holt of Lewes; and his sister, Penny L. Reid of Milton.

A celebration of Jimmy's life will take place Wednesday, July 21, at 2 p.m., at the home of James and Connie Reid, 30299 Cave Neck Road, Milton. Ample parking will be available and dress will be casual.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
