On June 6, 48 graduates walked across the stage during Sussex County Vocational Technical School District's James H. Groves Adult High School program's 58th annual commencement.

Dr. Kevin Carson, superintendent of the Sussex County Vocational Technical School District, and Maureen Whelan, director of adult and prison education for the State of Delaware, offered their congratulatory remarks. The commencement address was delivered by Sen. Brian Pettyjohn, R-Georgetown, who encouraged graduates, and everyone in attendance, to never stop learning.

Student speakers included Rebecka Steiner, Juan Izara, Yamilett Perez-Perez and Terry Williams. Each shared their personal journey on how they became a student at Groves, their journey during Groves' classes and their plans for the future.
