Jane B. Lopardo, enjoyed coastal living

Jane B. Lopardo, 72, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, at her home. She was born March 10, 1950, in New York, N.Y., daughter of the late Don and Virginia Sieverman.

Jane grew up in Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., and graduated from Cold Spring Harbor High School Class of 1968. She graduated from Nassau Community College with a concentration in early education. Jane and her partner Bob Gardner co-owned Gardner Motors car dealership in Huntington, N.Y. Moving to Statesville, N.C., she worked for Racing Radios followed by part-time work in retail, before retiring to Rehoboth Beach in 2016.

Jane truly enjoyed coastal living and being near the ocean again. She loved baking, especially bread and homemade cookies, and trying recipes from her grandmother’s collections. Her green thumb was evident by the bounty of plants and greenery in her homes. Jane was always upbeat and cheerful, and a light to those she loved. She will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.

Jane is survived by her sister, Susan Sieverman of New York, N.Y.; her cousins: Melissa and Chet Brzostowski of Greenwood; sister-in-law, Donna Sieverman, and niece Elizabeth; sister-in law, Shirley Sieverman, niece Claudia, and nephew Joseph Sieverman. She is predeceased by her brothers Michael and Bruce. 

Services will be private. 

Final care has been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
