Bold, vivid and powerful are words viewers use to describe the current art exhibit at the Dover Public Library by Ohio abstract artist Jeff White.
White says, “For me, art is a way to escape the everyday reality that we live in and create an entirely new world in which I am the creator. The process of drawing and painting has always been a private practice for me, and one that needs seclusion and isolation. With that said, artwork cannot hope to reach its potential without it being shared with the world around you. My hope is that my work will inspire imagination and a temporary escape from the mundane.”
White has a one-person show on display through Friday, Feb. 6, in the Dover Public Library, 35 Loockerman Plaza, Dover. Call 302-736-7030 for details.
