Jewish Family Services, a provider of counseling and support services throughout the state, announced tha Rosemary Ziskovsky, LCSW, has joined its clinical practice in Lewes.
JFS provides holistic outpatient counseling services and compassionate professional therapists to help patients take charge of their lives.
Ziskovsky is a licensed clinical social worker and graduate of the University of Northern Iowa’s Master of Social Work Program. She also has training in education and theology.
For the past 15 years, she has provided outpatient therapy to adolescents, individuals and couples in community mental health, nonprofit and private practice settings.
Ziskovsky recently completed a 200-hour certified yoga instructor training through the Yoga Alliance and is a certified trauma-informed yoga instructor through Firefly International. Her approach to therapy is steeped in the values of compassion and nonjudgment, and building on people’s strengths and resilience to facilitate healing. As an interactive therapist, she collaborates with people on the best therapy interventions, resources and tools to address their unique needs and goals.
Ziskovsky values the trust and courage it takes to engage in the therapy process; she creates a safe and welcoming space to be seen, heard and understood.
Thich Nhat Hanh, Buddhist monk and author, said, “The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence.” Ziskovsky said she appreciatse the opportunity to be present with people on their journey toward healing.
Her areas of particular interest and expertise include: depression, anxiety, trauma, loss and grief, self-esteem, relationship issues, life adjustments, spirituality and working with LGBTQ+ individuals. She is specialized in trauma, yoga, loss and grief, and level 1 EMDR.
