JoAnne McPherson, Baltimore PD retiree
JoAnne McPherson, 70, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully at home Monday, July 2, 2018.
JoAnne was born and raised in Baltimore, Md., daughter of the late Walter E. and Margaret H. (Musgrove) Schaefer. She worked as a computer operator with the Baltimore City Police Department for 20 years. After retirement she moved to Georgetown.
In addition to her parents, JoAnne is preceded in death, in 1996, by her husband, Leslie M. McPherson.
She is survived by her son, Walter McPherson (Tracy) of East Lansdowne, Pa.; two granddaughters, Reina Carder of Seaford and Allison McPherson of East Lansdowne; an uncle, Jack Schaefer of Baltimore; a special niece to whom she was very close, Pamela Haney-Piper; as well as extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 14, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, with a time of visitation at noon. A memorial service will also be held at a later date in Baltimore with inurnment at Mays Chapel U.M.C. Cemetery in Cockeysville, Md.
