Joey Pickens of Clarksville, Md., smashed the field at the 2024 Dewey Beach Sprint Triathlon Sept. 14, posting a time of 1:17:41 to win by nearly four minutes over second-place finisher Bryan Christ.
Amanda Carter of Pinehurst, N.C., was the top female finisher, crossing the line 12th overall in a time of 1:28:25. Second place went to Liz Kligensmith of Lewes with a time of 1:30:13.
