John 'Jack' Burton, Lewes resident
John Ross "Jack" Burton of Lewes lived a good life of 86 years before going to live with his Lord early Thursday, March 3, 2016.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Ethelda M. Burton; eight children, Sandra and Richard Neal, Jacqualine Smartt, Ross and Angela Burton, Risden M. Burton, Fonda and the Rev. Gary L. Meekins, Robert and Susan Burton, Christina Jones, and Ronson and Teresa Burton; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, March 12, at 1 p.m . Friends may call at the church Friday, March 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. There will be a viewing two hours before the service on Saturday, at Israel UM Church, 20230 Plantation Road, Lewes.
