Joseph Scott Morton, life of the party
Joseph Scott Morton, 66, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024.
Joseph was born June 6, 1957, in Denver, Colo., to the late William and Loraine (Leach) Morton.
Joseph owned his business, Developers Concrete Construction, in Lincoln for many years. Throughout his life, he enjoyed stock car racing and bowling. He loved enjoying the outdoors through sailing and fishing. He was known as the life of the party.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Mitchell Morton.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Myra Morton; his children, Jackie and Joey Morton; his siblings, Bill Morton (Gail), Rodney Morton (Falena) and Carolyn Kerr; as well as five grandchildren, Jaydon, Victoria, Tyler, Trent and Legend.
Memorial services will be held at noon, Saturday, Feb. 24, at Berry-Short Funeral Home chapel, 119 NW Front St., Milford, with a time of visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Interment is private.
