Joshua Carle Myers, had kind, generous heart

August 28, 2019

Joshua Carle Myers, 31, of Lewes passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, with his loving family by his side.  He was born in Milford Dec. 7, 1987, and grew up in Georgetown.

Josh had a kind and generous heart.  Those who knew him well knew this was who he was at his core.  He loved fishing, music festivals, cooking, and his two beautiful children more than anything in this world.

Josh wanted to ensure his children and family would forever remember the good times and the warmth of his love.  He believed strongly in second chances, and donated his organs to give someone else a second chance. Josh never gave up and the legacy of his love will live on.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Myers.  He is survived by his wife Maggie Lingo Myers of Lewes; his children: Benjamin Myers and Drew Myers, both of Lewes;  his father, Carle E. Myers of Lewes; his mother and stepfather, Ronda L. and Kevin Douglas of Georgetown;  his brother, Scott Myers (Sara) of Milton;  his grandparents: Randy and Pauline Hughes of Georgetown, and Barbara Myers of Lewes;  his in-laws, Drew and Kate Lingo of St. Petersburg, Fla.;  his stepsister, Jenna English (Kyle) of Cincinnati, Ohio; his sisters-in-law: Molly Lingo of Milton, Mary Lingo of Rehoboth Beach, Amy Goodwin (Jon) of Milton and Sara Lingo of Milton; his nieces and nephews: Gus, Nora, Easton, Emmett and Mack; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Aug. 30, at noon, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m.  Interment will be private.
