Juvenile injured in Jefferson Apartments shooting

A young person was injured Nov. 28, following a shooting at the Jefferson Apartments in Lewes.

Lewes police were notified at 1:08 a.m. that someone had fired numerous shots at an apartment building at 825 Kings Hwy., and a juvenile inside the apartment suffered a nonlife-threatening gunshot wound. Police said they believe the shooting was targeted, and members of the public are not at risk.

Police said they continue to investigate and ask anyone with information about the shooting to contact Det.
