Kathleen C. Morris passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 3, 2015, surrounded by her family. “Kitty” was born in Jannett, Pa. in 1928 to Ann and Floyd Bigi. She was raised in Nanuette, N.Y. until she moved to Delaware in 1955.

Kathleen owned and operated C Morris Trash Removal in Wilmington and Morris Riding Academy, Dover. Upon retirement, she moved to her beach home in Pot Nets, Long Neck, where spent the rest of her life.

Kitty was an avid reader and an active member of American Legion Post 22, AMVETS and Ladies Auxiliary. She was an active, independent lady who took great pride in taking care of her home, yard and family. She enjoyed hosting her coffee club get togethers with friends. Her sweet tooth was legendary; fitting for someone so sweet!

She leaves behind her four children: Pam Naylor, Cindi Goodman, Michael Gries and Kim Sheldon. She was preceded in death by her daughter Bonnie Kintz and her nephew Steven Osborne.

Her eight grandchildren, Emily Hickey, Sarah Sharp, Bobby Hemphill, Megan Bedo, Brandon Kintz, Ryan Toohey, Nicholas Toohey; and 10 great-grandchildren, Elysia Surov, Evan Hickey, Jordan and Haylee August, Katie Hemphill, Jayden, Camren and Jorden Figueroa, Wren and Camille Sharp, will miss their adored Mom-Mom Kitty. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Amanda Kay Hemphill.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday, March 14, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Brick Hotel, Georgetown. Friends and family may share a few words about a lady who was cherished by so many. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation of America at ccfa.org. Kitty’s grandson Camren needs a cure.
