Kevin Short named Producer of the Year by Delaware Celebration of Jazz
The Delaware Celebration of Jazz, organizer of the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival, has named Kevin Short as its 2024 Producer of the Year.
The average ticketholder for a live musical performance has no idea how much preparation, equipment and infrastructure is required to make each event memorable. Sussex County native Kevin Short and Mid South Audio are specialists at giving musical shows – no matter how big – the technical support and impact they deserve.
Mid South Audio is a full-service event production company and recording studio that has grown significantly since its inception in 1983. Kevin Short, his wife Debbie and his skilled staff are the first in and the last out when it comes to occasions that require state-of-the-art sound and lighting.
Short knew that a beach resort area would attract top talent, as evidenced by the Freeman Arts Pavilion, the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival, and more. But his talents don’t end there. Because so many of his customers are restaurants, bars or music venues, it only makes sense that he is also a gifted guitarist, keyboard player and vocalist for his popular band, Big Hat No Cattle.
