King's Tire and Lube of Milford held its annual breast cancer awareness fundraiser during the month of October. From every tire purchase in October, $3 was donated to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. The partnership was created by Todd Helsdon in 2014. At the Milford showroom, staff from King's Tire and Lube presented a check to Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition representatives.
For a donation of $2, customers also were able to purchase pink paper tires to write their names on to be displayed in the showroom. King's Tire and Lube matched those donations dollar for dollar. American Tire Distributors, under the vision of Rob Blair, donated $1 per tire purchased by King’s in October to the cause.
The total contributions raised were $1,486.
Proceeds will benefit the coalition's programs which increase breast cancer awareness, promote the importance of early detection, provide access to mammograms and cervical screenings, and provide support and resources to women and men in the local community who are newly diagnosed or facing recurrence of breast cancer.
