Kundalini, breath work and sound bath program set Sept. 2

August 21, 2022

HealTree and Ignite Sadhaha will present kundalini, breath work and sound bath from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday Sept. 2, at 1632 Savannah Road, Suite 9, Lewes.

Kundalini is a spiritual energy that exists at the base of the spine. A kundalini practice activates that energy with chanting, singing, breathing exercises and repetitive poses. During a kundalini practice, participants can strengthen their nervous system; awaken their inner willpower, creativity, and intuition; balance the left and right hemispheres of their brain; clear their mind fog; open their heart center; and increase capacity for compassion.

Kundalini is often referred to as “the yoga of awareness.” Kundalini practice brings participants to the present moment with no room for outside distractions. The practice allows participants to thrive under stress and increase the plasticity between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. Kundalini practice also offers poses and movements designed to put pressure on certain areas of the body to increase the flow of blood and energy to specific glands and organs when the poses are released, promoting healing and power within the body.

Peter Reyes and Jason Muscavage will guide participants through a kundalini yoga practice, additional Wim Hof breathing techniques, and a full chakra healing sound bath.

The leaders are Wim Hof method-certified instructors who have trained directly under Wim Hof and led more than 50 workshops. They are both 400 Hour RYTs (200hr power vinyasa/200 hr kundalini yoga) and firewalk instructors.

Cost is $65 per participant.
