Ladies in Leadership meet in strength competition for a cause

A group of 24 women from local businesses recently gathered at Rehoboth Beach Barbell Club for the Ladies in Leadership strength and fitness competition hosted by Rachael Richardson and Lo Tibbets.

The female-only event brought together participants of all experience levels, united by a shared decision to step outside their comfort zones and push for growth.

Adding a deeper purpose to the effort, funds were raised to support the Walking with Cora Foundation, which provides financial assistance for families caring for a child or children with cerebral palsy, genetic disorders or other neurological disorders. 

Through five head-to-head events, competitors gave it their all while supporting one another, creating an atmosphere defined by encouragement over rivalry.

Athletes representing the Carrie Lingo Team, Beyond the Bar, Trident Fitness, Big Chill Surf Cantina and Dewey Beer Co. brought energy and sportsmanship, cheering for every participant.

More than a competition, the event highlighted leadership, resilience and the power of women lifting each other up.
