Largest crowd yet for RBVFC’s Hook & Ladder BrewFest
Hundreds of people turned out Sept. 27 for the third annual 86 Hook & Ladder BrewFest in Rehoboth Beach.
The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company hosted the event in the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center. It serves as a fundraiser, with all monies raised going toward the purchase of equipment, including a $1.9 million ladder truck, an ambulance, a fire truck, as well as individual firefighter gear, which costs $21,500 per person.
It was the largest one yet, said Mary Rossettini, RBVFC associate member who chairs the fundraising committee.
There were about 15 craft beers from Delaware-area breweries, music, food and a variety of vendors selling goods. Participating breweries included Big Oyster, Crooked Hammock, Dewey Beer Co., Dogfish Head, Heavy Seas Beer, Ocean View Brewing Co., Thompson Island Brewing Co., Tröegs Independent Brewing and Victory Brewing Co. Atlantic Liquors was on hand pouring samples of moonshine and bourbon.
