League of Women Voters to meet Jan. 20

The Sussex County League of Women Voters will present a talk on “SDARJ: Working to End Racism in Delaware" at its League, Libations and Learning social gathering set for 12 to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Tiki Jac's Street Eats & Brews, 71 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

Charlotte King, founder of the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice, will be the guest speaker. A 2025 inductee into the Delaware Women’s Hall of Fame, King formerly served as president of the League of Women Voters of Delaware and is currently a member of the Sussex LWV board of directors. 

King will be joined by Maria Cordonnier, vice chair of the SDARJ legislative/advocacy committee and a Sussex LWV member.

Drinks and dinner with separate checks will precede the 45-minute presentation. Although the event is open to all, seating is limited and preregistration is required. For more information and to register, go to sussexlwv.org.
