Lefty’s fundraiser for Vietnam Veterans Moving Wall set April 29

April 24, 2019

Lefty’s Alley & Eats will host a dine and donate fundraiser to assist the American Legion Family of Post 17 in bringing the Vietnam Veterans Moving Wall to the Lewes community. The fundraiser will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 29.

Vouchers must be presented at time of order. To pick up vouchers, stop by Post 17 on American Legion Road in Lewes. Vouchers will not be available at the restaurant.

The moving wall is a half-size replica of the Washington, D.C. Vietnam Veterans Memorial which honors soldiers who died serving the country in the Vietnam War. This free memorial will be erected at the Lewes ferry terminal grounds the morning of Thursday, May 16, and will remain open 24 hours until its dismantling at about 2 p.m., Monday, May 20.

The nearby American Legion Post 17 will be open to the public featuring food and drink specials, local musicians, a wartime photos and artifacts display, and much more. All are welcome.
