LETTER: Frustrated by trying to volunteer for Democrats
Since the midterm elections are so important, I wanted to volunteer. I am articulate and passionate about the importance of the upcoming elections. I wanted to assist in getting the vote out. I signed up and called the Sussex County Democrats and the Delaware Democratic Party and did not hear back. I also asked to join their Facebook page, but they clearly have not approved me to join.
As a test I reached out to the GOP and they got back to me within several hours. I cannot say how disturbing this is to me. This should be a critical election to them.
There will be at least one highly charged Senate race and we can expect Trump here supporting his candidates.
I know Delaware is a small state but if we cannot make the effort to contact volunteers we have already lost. Complacency is not our friend.
