Letter: Vote Lopez:  Our voice in Dover

November 2, 2018

I am proud to support Dr. Ernie Lopez in his re-election bid to the state Senate representing the Cape Region.  Ernie has been a responsive advocate and a responsible partner with both the business and nonprofit community, delivering state resources and leveraging tax dollars on behalf of all of his constituents.  Ernie’s ubiquitous presence in support of all things local and commitment to bipartisanship has been a breath of fresh air in this toxic political environment.

Just six years ago, we in the Cape Region didn’t have a state senator we could call our own.  Since his first election in 2012, not only has Ernie become our voice and vote in Dover, he has shown a commitment to investing in our future as the recent announcement of over $1 billion in new transportation infrastructure funding for Sussex County has demonstrated.  After years of elected and appointed officials kicking the can down the road, Ernie has stepped up to the plate on our behalf and is delivering the results we need.

Join me in supporting our state senator, Ernie Lopez, on Election Day this coming Tuesday.  His dedication and commitment to being a senator for all of us is needed now and in our future.
